		<description>Wordpress 2.51 has this annoying "feature" that puts the current date in the permalink - not the publication date.  By the way the link you list in the post goes to a page not found message.

Do you know how to stop this negative feature?  Prior to 2.5 this was not a problem, it just used the publication date in the permalink url as any sensible person would expect it to.

It also doesn't wait for you to put in a title - just shoves in a lame "?postid=120", or whatever, as the title.  At least that part you can take the time to edit (why they didn't just leave it the better way it was before, where they didn't put in the dumb permalink, is beyond me).
