There are a lot of SEO (search engine optimization) “gurus” out there, peddling their services to help you become SEO savvy and work on website optimization. They make it seem as if SEO and web optimization is so hard that only the highly skilled can do it, but that could not be further from the truth!
Actually, anyone with a high school reading level and a basic understanding of SEO could optimize a website and generate traffic and business for their website. SEO works off of the theory that properly placed keywords can catapult you to the top rankings in search engines, thus increasing your click-throughs, and potentially people who are going to view your ads or buy your product.
At least 3 times a week, my Feedburner count goes all wonky. Usually, that means my chicklet displays an odd number of followers, typically far less than I actually have – but sometimes, far more than I really have.
I know, I know, how many people read your blog is not as important as how you feel about and enjoy blogging, BUT it is unnerving to see my count drop to 88 readers from a high of 221, especially when it is on the tail end of me announcing that I’m going to incorporate more ideas and information into my blog!

Are you using Feedburner for your RSS feed? Why not?
Feedburner gives you stats on how many people read your feed, click on your posts and visit your site and more. Statistics are important to any blogger who really wants to improve their blogging experience. Plus, who doesn’t love bragging rights about how many readers (subscribers) you have?

Make it easier for your readers to get your content into an online feed reader like Google Reader or Netvibes, or a desktop program like FeedDemon. Cutting down on daily visits to individual websites saves your readers time – and increases the opportunities you have to reach a wide audience.

Finding a new web-host can be a challenge, especially if you are new to having a website or blog.
However, there are 10 Things to Look for in a Web-host, and these 10 tips will ensure you get the best host to meet your needs.
- Price is important. You do not want to spend a lot of money for hosting that is mediocre, nor do you want to spend money if a free host will fit your needs.
- How much storage is the host offering? You’d be surprised at how hosts offer so many different amounts of storage space. Find a good balance between storage and the other features, to get your money’s worth of the hosting.
TwitThis is not one of the default options for Feedburner Feed Flares, but it is easy to add TwitThis to your blog’s RSS footer.

Comments Off on Is your page Stumbled?

I am a huge fan of StumbleUpon – the social networking site that lets you set preferences and find site that you might be interested in – and share them with friends!
But as a blogger, I am always interested in how often my pages are Stumbled (added to StumbleUpon’s databases).
Simply drag and drop the “Stumbled?” link to your “Bookmarks Toolbar Folder”. Now, you will have a shortcut on your Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar.
