Happy holidays! Most of us in the US will be celebrating Christmas on December 25, but this is also a holiday season for people of other faiths and cultures. For me, the holiday season is a time to show appreciation to the people I love and care about by exchanging gifts, spending quality time with each other and enjoying great food.
Below is my list of some great gifts for anyone on your list. They can all be purchased at Amazon.com and delivered by Christmas. I have ordered from them in the past, and their gift wrapping is professional and seasonal.

So you are in need of a new bag (or 2 or 3) for the year? There are so many different options – backpacks, messenger bags, sling bags, etc etc. You may know a style that you like already. Stick with it.
If you’re looking for ideas, here you go:

Backpack – Classic back to school item. Backpacks have 2 straps (and should always be used with both straps). Typically the best bag to use if you have a LOT to carry or if you have shoulders that easily get sore with messengers, or if you’re always on the move. Can be professional (don’t get the loud colors though) and laid back at the same time.

I’m an associate for Amazon.com – I try to refer people to purchase Amazon products and services. I have found them very useful, so I want to “spread the love” to everyone else.
After Amazon updated their Associates code, I was unable to use the getASIN bookmarklet. I searched high and low for a solution, and finally found a bookmarklet that works from Justin Blanton with the new Amazon Associates website.
Amazon Associates Bookmarklet v1.1
To use this bookmarklet, follow these steps:
- Drag the above link to your browser’s toolbar.
Amazon.com is great for one-stop shopping online, especially with free shipping on purchases over $25! Sometimes, we fall short of the $25 purchase, and this is where Amazon Filler Item Finder comes in!
Select the categories you’d like to search within and how much you need to spend to qualify for free Super Saver Shipping – and press search.
Happy Shopping!
Rave reviews and complaints galore abound all over the blogosphere about Amazon’s Kindle, the new portable book reader, which only weights 10.3 ounces – far less than the weight of the three or four books I typically carry on vacations or even short trips across the state.
The Kindle’s price tag at $399 299 may seem steep for some – but once you consider that the price of Kindle’s book offerings average 50-65% off print prices, you’ll be able to purchase more books for the same price that you would have spent on “real” books! Additionally, there’s no cost for the wireless access!
