WordPress is a easily customizable blogging/web design platform. In order to make this site easy to navigate and fun to visit, I have used a combination of the following plugins activated on my site. I have included a brief description of the functions of these plugins, too.

Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need an API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.” To show off your Akismet stats just put <?php akismet_counter(); ?> in your template. See also: WP Stats plugin.

You can also use the included Widgets and Template Tags to display post popularity and lists of popular posts on your blog.
