I’m moving next month, and as I keep looking around my bedroom in my apartment, I keep wondering, how long will it take to pack one bedroom? In the two years I’ve lived here, I’ve accumulated dozens of books, at least a dozen suits, 3 coats, all kinds of knickknacks and do-dads. And somehow, I’ve got to move all of this stuff quickly and efficiently.
Unclutterer says to try to get rid of things you don’t need or duplicates, so I’ve got to do that, then I can move to actually packing things I won’t need for the next month or so, such as winter clothes, most of my books and my decorative items.
Local charities don’t do pickups, so I will need to find a volunteer to pick up some things and take them to Goodwill or the Red Cross.
Do you have any tips for moving?
