Hi Ellie,

I work with the outreach team for Live Search cashback and I just wanted to point to the cashback program as another useful site for holiday shopping.
If you go to <a href="http://search.live.com/cashback?form=MOCAPR&publ=COMMS&crea=TEXT_Search_Cashback_Shopping_Forums_1x1" rel="nofollow">Live Search cashback</a> you can find rebates up to 40% from hundreds of top online retailers.

You can find details at cashback.com or on the forums at FatWallet.

I love all your suggestions - some I have used before, others I will definitely keep in mind now! Etsy is a great site and if you like supporting local companies you can search by area to find stuff made by people in your region. Another site I go to a lot is slickdeals.net - it's a lot like FatWallet. I agree, online shopping is so easy and a lot of times companies will have shipping discounts so you aren't paying that much more than going to a traditional store.
