Occasionally, I have a need for a new banner, but I don’t have the time to wait for a designer to get back to me and make one.
That’s where mybannermaker comes in.
This Web 2.0 site allows you to build your own simple banner in just a few steps. This website does not work with Firefox, so you will have to use Internet Explorer.
The process is easy – and step by step, you create your own banner.
Select a size – this is probably the easiest part; click on the size banner that you want, and go on to the next step. The option to choose your own background is neat, and it works well. You can also choose your own colors to further personalize the banner.
The third step, inserting and modifying the text is perhaps my favorite part, as there are various ways to modify the text. You can change the font face, the size, color, alignment, rotation and opacity. If you are a perfectionist, this step may take a little longer than the others, but you will be pleased with the large selection of font faces available.
While you are only limited to one text effect, there’s something here for everyone. Add glitter, or maybe a blurred effect to your new banner!
Once you have completed the final step – saving, you can get the code to put the banner on your own site.
Look at the HTML code carefully, and you can see the link to the image itself. It’ll start with
img src. Highlight and copy the image location, then paste into your browser.
