Do you have a website that takes a long time to load? Or are you visiting a website and it is loading really slow?
The FREE Pingdom Tools Full Page Test is extremely useful for professional web developers, regular web surfers and people who just kinda “wing it” when it comes to designing websites.
The Pingdom Tools Full Page Test will help you determine what, if anything, is slowing a website’s load time down. It may be a hot-linked image from another site or bad coding. But the FPT will let you know!
The load time of all objects is shown visually with time bars.
You can view the list of objects either in load order or as a hierarchy. The hierarchy view allows you to see which objects are linked to in for example a CSS file.
Every test also shows general statistics about the loaded page such as the total number of objects, total load time, and size including all objects.
After you pinpoint what is slowing down your site and correct the error, you are done! (However, if it is not your site, you could always email the site administrator and let them know what you found.)
But, if the site is still loading slowly or not at all, you can also conduct a Ping and Traceroute Test.
With these tools you’ll get an outside view of your network response time and network topology, which allows you to track down possible errors more easily.
Combined, these two tools can pinpoint errors that are coding related or server related. And don’t forget, these tools are FREE! You can also run the test on any other website. I tried it on several popular sites just to see what would happen. ❗
