I am in the middle of moving to a new apartment. I used Craigslist to find my new home, but I wanted to know what other apartments were near my desired address.

PadMapper came so handy in my apartment search. I put in the address of a subway station I thought was desirable, and let PadMapper generate a map with all of the listings available on Craigslist!

Now, I can click on the red markers and look at information about specific listings and link back to the original ad on Cragislist.

I can also refine search results by using the”Filter Listings” option. Narrow the results by the minimum/maximum rent, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, keywords and subway commute directions!

Filter PadMapper Results

PadMapper was helpful in helping me wade through the hundreds of listings on Craigslist and find a new home that fit my needs and wants.

If you are moving, or just want to see what prices apartments are going for in neighborhoods near you, check PadMapper out. As far as I can tell, the program works anywhere in the US. It works best on Firefox, Safari; not so well on Internet Explorer.

Happy home hunting!
