Blog Rush hit the scene this weekend, and is already the hot new thing on the ‘net. Everyone is rushing to install Blog Rush’s widget on their site!
I did, too, but realized that it doesn’t mesh with my theme AT ALL AND it isn’t sending me any traffic — it seems to be working for other bloggers, so perhaps this is something I could try out again later on, once I redesign the site again or something.

As for if you should do it… it depends. The way I see, bloggers who think they can make enough referrals to make it worth while are adding it, and those that think either they can’t get enough referrals or are coming up with ideas not to join, so that they can differentiate themselves in that way instead.
It’s a harsh way of looking at things, but for Blogging Fingers I’m happy to give it a go. It’s not like I’m asking my referrals to pay me… yet! lol

I’m still not sure as to whether BlogRush can provide any significant benefits to bloggers hoping to gain some traffic. I’m trying to get some statistics in so that I can give a full run-down of whether it has worked or not. It would be nice if the statistics at BlogRush actually worked too!

I have already grown tired of it and removed it myself. Seems like they were not ready for the surge of people looking for free press. I might come back once they get things figured out.

I think that Blog Rush definitely benefits those bloggers who signed up first - versus those who signed up later - even hours later! I’ll be keeping an eye on Blog Rush to see what happens!

I’m hoping to see some stats soon - maybe a week or two? Then I can test the widget again and see whether or not it is really helpful.
As someone said the other day, writing good content is really the best way to generate good traffic.

I think everyone likes traffic, especially when they don’t have to work too hard for it.
But I will just keep an eye on it to see if it really is worth the time and effort
