101 Steps to Becoming a Better Blogger
I was inspired by mwilliford’s series on 101 Steps to Becoming a Better Blogger (originally posted on Lifehack.org) to pursue each one of these 101 Steps to Becoming a Better Blogger.
My goal is to complete 2-3 a week, and that should mean that I finish this time next year, August 2008.
Monetization is nice, but becoming a better blogger - a communicator, writer and observer - is most important with this blog.
First things first, in the spirit of mwilliford’s series, you should do the following:
- Go to Popuri and check your Google PageRank, Alexa Rank, and Technorati rank. make a note of these so you’ll have something compare them to next summer.

- Make a note of the number of readers you have now. We’ll compare this next year too. I currently have 56 RSS readers and 100-125 unique page loads per day.

Hey, thanks for the link. I’m Marcus. Nice to meet you. Since it appears that you will be following along with the series I will put a link in the posts for you. I like your blog and the way you have set up series on certain days. That is a great idea to get more readers. I might have to institute something like that. Keep up the good work and good luck in school (I’m in school too)
Great to meet you, Marcus! Definitely include me in the series. I am going to try to catch up with you. Just give me a few days!
Good luck with classes! Mine don’t start until after Labor Day, so I have a few more weeks to hang out and relax!
great to have you participating. I have the first post up with a link to you. Thanks
Thanks a lot, Marcus!
I need to create a blog on my clients website from my machine. Could someone direct me to a tutorial about how to create a blog on a remote server? I think this one is for creating one to be accessed from your own machine, isn’t it? Thanks so much!
Hmm. You could set up WordPress on their site. Visit http://www.wordpress.org for details.
