An important WordPress update was released this week, version 2.3.3. Please update your WordPress installation to ensure that you will have the latest protections. From the WordPress Blog:
WordPress 2.3.3 is an urgent security release. If you have registration enabled a flaw was found in the XML-RPC implementation such that a specially crafted request would allow a user to edit posts of other users on that blog. In addition to fixing this security flaw, 2.3.3 fixes a few minor bugs. If you are interested only in the security fix, download the fixed version of xmlrpc.php and copy it over your existing xmlrpc.php. Otherwise, you can get the entire release here.

Yahoo! Mail is still very popular, especially if you have had your Yahoo! account since “forever’ like me. However, Gmail has gained A LOT of ground in recent years. The interface is “cleaner” than Yahoo!’s and the search function is fantastic!
One thing’s for sure – you can delete your Yahoo! account by not logging into your account for a period up to 7 months or you can delete your Yahoo! account by visiting https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user.
The benefits of using the direct link are no-brainers – it’s easy, fast and you KNOW that your account cannot be accessed.
