Tidy Start Menu, a free program, is perfect for people who want to minimize their start menu without a lot of complications. Users install the program and can organize their start menu to their personal specifications and tastes. The program does make suggestions for categories, but it up to you to put programs where you want them to be.
One of my favorite features is that you can always move a program from one folder to another if you feel it would better fit in a different category.

Thanks to everyone who responded with suggestions in my previous post, Help the Geek Girl get a new laptop!
Your suggestions were great and very helpful! THANKS!
After consulting with many, many websites, reading your suggestions, talking to a couple of “computer gurus” and comparing dozens of computers, I finally settled on the Toshiba Satellite U305-S7467 13.3” Widescreen Laptop.
This laptop meets all of my requirements – small, widescreen and powerful!

WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system (CMS) for a reason – it is customizable by anyone with the skills and desire to tweak the program to their specifications.
However, this also opens the door for bad guys to do harm to your WordPress powered blog.
Perhaps the easiest way to protect your blog is to make an empty /wp-content/plugins/index.html file. Create an index.html file with any website creator software like Microsoft FrontPage, Nvu or Komposer – or by hand. Upload to the wp-content/plugins/ directory. Now, the bad guys can’t see your plugins list and try to attack your site via this directory!

One of the most common things computer users do is to disable AutoPlay (autorun) of their USB or external drive unintentionally – and they don’t know how to reset these settings!
What is AutoPlay (autorun) and why do I need it?
Autorun (sometimes spelled in CamelCase as AutoRun or AutoPlay) is the ability of many modern computer operating systems to automatically take some action upon the insertion of removable media such as a CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, or flash media.
Autorun is intended as a convenience feature: software distributed on a disc can automatically start an installer when the disc is inserted.
This is a preview of

WordPress 2.3 introduced us to built-in tagging support, which has been a great addition to every blogger’s blogging arsenal for three reasons:
- Tags are a great way to quickly show visitors what you blog about. Categories can be helpful to show visitors what you blog about, but tags give an extra layer of information that is a lot more specific and targeted. If a visitor only wants to read your posts on Firefox, they can quickly find them, versus searching through various categories or searching your blog.
