Get organized with Tidy Start Menu

Written by Ellie on Jan 28th, 2008 | Filed under: Geek Girl

Geek GirlTidy Start Menu, a free program, is perfect for people who want to minimize their start menu without a lot of complications. Users install the program and can organize their start menu to their personal specifications and tastes. The program does make suggestions for categories, but it up to you to put programs where you want them to be.

One of my favorite features is that you can always move a program from one folder to another if you feel it would better fit in a different category.

See the before Tidy Start Menu and after:

Before TSM After TSM

The difference is like NIGHT and DAY! :!:

Yes, you can do everything Tidy Start Menu does manually, but it is not as easy as utilizing Tidy Start Menu! One pet peeve is that if you do uninstall the program, you must manually remove the organized folders, as your computer will not revert back to the old menu.

Overall,Tidy Start Menu is a great option for newer computer users and those who don’t like to manually tweak their computer. The program also has a paid version, which adds additional features, but for the average user, the freeware version of Tidy Start Menu should be sufficient.

This special feature, Geek Girl, appears every Monday.
