This is post #1 from the land called SOULVILLE. A quick description – I am HarriMac and the name of this feature comes from “The Wiz” (awesome movie, you should check it out).
This weekly feature will carry “How-To’s” about community service, sports and sporting goods, computers, web design and graphic design, home needs and organization; occasionally there will be some reviews of something new I’ve found or gotten (I’m such an athletigeek). So, tune in every Thursday and look for the good stuff.

I always thought sponsored WordPress themes were tacky. I have come across a few, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Why would I monetize my blog in order to help someone else get money? That’s akin to me working at my job and giving someone else my paycheck.
Basically, sponsored themes had ads or text link ads in the sidebars and footers that are associated with the designer – not you, the user. According to some WordPress users, these additional links can prevent you from conducting your own site monetization. Sucks, doesn’t it?

Yes, really!
PortableApps.com offers all kinds of portable software, including a portable version of your favorite blogger’s favorite browser, Firefox.
Not only has PortableApps.com provided us with a USB version of Firefox, but you can rest assured that it won’t leave any tracks on the computers you use AND you can copy your settings from your computer to your Firefox Portable and vice-versa.
J. David Macor has a problem. His website traffic is increasing on his well established blog, but he is just not seeing the numbers of readers, subscribers and commenters that he’d like.
I empathize. I’ve had this blog in various formats and names since 1998 (before “blogging” was blogging

I have tried the tips below to increase my readership. Hopefully, they will help anyone out there who is trying to increase their impact on the blogosphere and get a return on the investment of blood, sweat, tears and money to blog about the topics you love.
